butterscotch truffle

Welp, I did it again. I invented another cocktail that’s actually drinkable and…dare I say…tasty? This time, it was thanks to my new roomie’s leftover butterscotch schnapps. Party leftovers FTW.

This drink is warm, festive, rich, and reminiscent of holiday cheer.

Butterscotch Truffle

1 shot butterscotch schnapps

1 shot (3 Tbsp — equal part) simple syrup

1 shot (3 Tbsp) half and half

1 1/2 tsp dutch processed cocoa powder

dash of almond extract

Mix together until cocoa powder is dissolved. Serve! It’s fine at room temperature but chilled would be good. Don’t dilute with ice.

And for a garnish — maybe mint sprigs? So many ideas….
